As a functional medicine nutritionist I love to work with people who want to get to the root cause of their inflammatory digestive concerns and not focus on your symptoms in isolation. I do this through nutrition science and motivational coaching. There is no one medical model that suits everyone and we are individual in our response to illness. The body intelligently manifests a symptom to inform you that something is wrong with your digestion. The 5 main steps I take to bring harmony to the digestive system is:
- Bring down inflammation- take out foods that cause inflammation
- Restore the good bacteria in the gut into harmony by increasing specific foods
- Target the main organ that has been affected, for example skin problems, thyroid, IBS, arthiritis, gas and bloating, food intolerances
- Carry out a proper detox so digestion can be healed.
- Although I diagnose a condition through a symptom approach I carry out testing through Genova Diagnostics for a more accurate analysis if required
